Drilling Equipment

Everything you need for more efficient drilling operations

Derrick and mast

Mast and derrick are used to support load from hoisting system and drilling load. However, they are different.

rotary tabels

A rotary table is a mechanical device on a drilling rig that provides clockwise (as viewed from above) rotational force to the drill string to facilitate the process of drilling a borehole.

onshore Blowout Preventer(BOP)

A blowout preventer (BOP) (pronounced B-O-P, not “bop”)[1] is a specialized valve or similar mechanical device, used to seal, control and monitor oil and gas wells to prevent blowouts, the uncontrolled release of crude oil or natural gas from a well. They are usually installed in stacks of other valves.

Drilling Hoist and Winches

The hoisting system on a drilling rig does the heavy lifting on the rig. It is used to raise, lower, and suspend the drill string and lift casing and tubing for installation into the well.

injection head

Coiled tubing handling device that provides pulling and injection power. Usually powered by two to four motors that transmit the forces to the coil through chains equipped with specially shaped couplers.

Bottom hole assembly(BHA) and components

The equipment or tools at the bottom of the tubing or drill string.

Drilling instrumentation and control

• Monitoring Systems.
• Anchors.
• Weight Indicators.
• Pressure Gauges.
• Drift Indicator Systems.
• Tachometer Systems.
• Torque Indicators.

Well safety equipment

coiled tubing unit

In the oil and gas industries, coiled tubing refers to a very long metal pipe, normally 1 to 3.25 in (25 to 83 mm) in diameter which is supplied spooled on a large reel.

Drilling handling equipment

Handling Tools play a major part in any modern drilling operation. They are used for suspending, moving and rotating tubulars in and around the well center and on the drill floor.

Drawworks

A drawworks is the primary hoisting machinery component of a rotary drilling rig.

auxiliary drilling equipment

Drilling auxiliary apparatus is used, in assistance with the drilling rig, to accomplish the drilling. Generally speaking, there are surface tools and drilling tools.

wireline

Wire-line core drilling tools can lift core from drill rods without picking up coring system.

solids and cutting removal equipment

Solids Removal Equipment is the equipment used at drilling sites in order to control the solid waste obtained during the drilling activities such as shale debris, rock granules and mud.

Brakes

The mechanism on the drawworks that permits the driller to control the speed and motion of the drilling line and the drillstring, or the brake handle that the driller operates to control the brake mechanism.

Top drive

A top drive is a mechanical device on a drilling rig that provides clockwise torque to the drill string to drill a borehole. It is an alternative to the rotary table and kelly drive. It is located at the swivel’s place below the traveling block and moves vertically up and down the derrick.

fluid control equipment

Coiled tubing

Data loggers

Underreamer

An underreamer is a device used to enlarge the borehole below an existing casing or restriction, during a well drilling operation.

Hammers

In Top Hammer Drilling the hammer produces a percussive force on the drill rods or tubes, which is transmitted to the drill bit.

Cementing equipment

Oil Well Cementing Equipment are essential for the Oil/Gas exploration or production wells and are must used oilfield equipments while drilling a well.

perforating gun

A device used to perforate oil and gas wells in preparation for production. Containing several shaped explosive charges, perforating guns are available in a range of sizes and configurations.

bridge and isolation plug

A downhole tool that is located and set to isolate the lower part of the wellbore.

fracturing pumps

A frac pump is a high-pressure, high-volume pump used in hydraulic fracturing treatments.
